P.A.S.S. - The Psychology Advisement Support System

To better guide psychology majors through their academic experience, the Psychology Department, in cooperation with the Psychology Students’ Association (PSA), administers a faculty advisement program called P.A.S.S. – the Psychology Advisement Support System. At the beginning of each academic year, each CCNY psychology major is assigned a specific faculty advisor and mailed a P.A.S.S. self-assessment form. Students are encouraged you to contact their P.A.S.S. advisor early in the semester to make an appointment for an advisement session, bringing along the completed P.A.S.S. form. The advisor then works with the student to confront obstacles to academic success and work out a plan of action for the academic year. Students then arrange follow-up meetings with their advisor to address new academic issues, create a plan of study, and discuss career options.
