A student is considered for regular admission to the GSOE if he/she has completed a minimum of 15 units (year-long) of high school courses with an overall average of 85% or better, including:

1. Four years of high school mathematics, including precalculus, with a grade average of 80% or better;
2. Three years of science, including

• One year of physics, with a  grade of 80% or better, and
• One year of chemistry, with a grade of 80% or better;
  (the physics and chemistry requirements may each be substituted by a year-long college-level non–calculus-based course) and
  

3. Two years of English.

Applicants to GSOE are required to submit SAT scores as part of their application.
